The time travel element of John finding himself in the 1940's seems interesting. Thanks for the review and also thanks to the author for the book.

This is the kind if books kids of this generation should read so as to learn that they should always respect and take into account what they are told by the older people. Thanks for the review.

I'm usually sceptical about books such as this, but this is an exception. Enjoyed it from start to finish. Reminds me of Halloween.

I find the concept of this story hard to relate to, as my last grandparent died when I was only 3 months old. That being said maybe this book could give me insight into what it is like to have a grandparent, so I think I'll give it a go. Thanks for the great review.

My mom tells great stories about her childhood all the time and, as genealogy is her passion, I know she wishes that she could've heard more stories from my grandpa before he died. This book sounds like a great way to teach people this lesson before it's too late while also entertaining them with a plot that goes beyond the typical "here are the stories Grandpa told me." Thank you for the thorough and helpful review.

It sounds a little bit Back To The Future... one wonders how John's presence in his grandfather's life in the past might change the present!

Time travel has always been a fascinating thing for me. I especially like the period in history just before World War II when my own father was a young man, and my mother was young and beautiful..

Actually, I'm happy to see your review about The Tattered Box because I love the #timetravel story no matter in books or in movies. In addition, The Tattered Box not just a simple or normal story about time travel. I love the way that the writer makes John be friend with his teenage grandfather and start to appreciate him with his story. It reminds me of Thailand movie, "Back To 90". I think teenage nowadays can learn something from this book.

Being able to go back in time and live your grandparents lives seems like such an eye opening experience. This book sounds packed with emotion. I look forward to reading the sample. Great job on the review and I'm glad you enjoyed the book. :)

Book might have good concept in itself but this book needs to be edited.
Such good review but isn't genuine. Book doesn't deserve 4 stars
