I'm always in for a good story. The premise of this book intrigues me. It's worth checking out.

Good review. I don't read historical things much. This one sounds like keeper though.

The story of a single mom in the 18th Century Germany during the Napoleonic wars. A strong character study which helps also understand better that particular time period.

It sounds like a great book to read. The key character that are an independent woman who lives in the 18 hundreds. The fact that the reviewer points out that fine details about that time in history fills out the story . Added an amazing well develop main character's struggles through life makes it even better. I am certainly going to read it.
