The statement one can only imagine what Maggie will be asked to do before the war is over makes me a little bit curious.

I enjoyed this book. It's so interesting to have a woman spy during this time. Thanks for commenting ruthkirira.

An Eng female spy living amidst German Gestapo? Sounds intriguing. It is good that the book offers a different perspective on this war, though I hope it touches the Jews and the concentration camps angle. I like it when a plot combines action and story development, so I will check it out. Thank you for the review!

Great review! This sounds like a great read for fans if historical fiction who also enjoy spy novels and strong female leads. I also like the fact that the author is not only strong with imaging and even humor. Thanks so much for sharing.

That is a very different aspect, spying, especially as a woman during the world war. Very intriguing.

Great review! This sounds like a really good book. It helps that I love both historical fiction and spy books! I'm also pretty sure I'm in love with the writer's style just from the sentence you supplied.

I love historical fiction on world war II. Even though it is popular among historical fiction novels, there are so many points of view that an author can write about. Great Review!

Thank you for your helpful review. I don't think this is the book for me, as I am not a big fan of this genre, but I have downloaded it just in case. I, too, find it interesting and appealing that todays #BOTD is told from the viewpoint of a woman spy. I'll let you know how it goes! Never know...I may end up loving it! :-)

Great review!
As her pyloric sphincter's spasm brought up the Earl Grey as an inglorious projectile." - this use of language sounds fun and shows off awesome diction but I was forced to google pyloric sphincter and Earl Grey. I would really have an issue with this if I have to google more than one word per sentence.
Other than that I love the book cover and the concept of the story. Thanks for sharing.

I am also a fan of books that are set during the second World War especially when it features espionage. I like that the author uses a female spy instead of a male and a woman who is living under German occupation. This gives a different perspective to the war. I agree that the author's use of language in her body is very fun to read.
