The subject matter is expansive, sometimes leading to the characters coming and going too quickly off the pages. A worthy read!!!!

Thanks for this - it would be interesting to see familiar stories retold by a knowledgeable author.

Interesting concept & I really enjoyed the review but I'm wondering who exactly the target audience is. People who enjoy reading the Bible surely aren't going to support what is essentially a spin-off! Or am I wrong?

This sounds interesting. A biblical story with a fictional twist. Would make for a good Sunday afternoon read.

This sounds like it would be a good read even for those who aren't interested in religion. I like the idea of bring old stories to life and making them more accessible to modern audiences. Not sure if this one is for me though.

Well, I'm not religious, and I'm not a fan of historical fiction. Yet, I'm very intrigued by this book. Your review is great and has left me wanting to read it! Thanks for the review!

I started reading your review and instantly realised where the story was heading and where it came from. It's beautiful that he author takes the time to richly develop his characters and retell these inspirational journeys from the bible. Well done to the author, and well done to you for your great review!

I appreciate the thought and detail you put into the review. Unfortunatley, it failed to sway me. I'm surprised at the 4 star rating, as well. Maybe I'm a bit biased, though. I typically avoid religious fiction, and this book is a prime example of why. In the short snippets I read from the book, it seemed like it was more about trying to sway readers over to believe how great God is and less about keeping the reader engaged in an enjoyable storyline. I don't think this is the book for me, but I do think your review will definitely draw in some people who may not have taken another look before!

A great review there. The author has done a commendable job restructuring the biblical story without losing its meaning.

This is well written and I'm sure those who are familiar with the biblical characters will enjoy this book. Personally, I was never an avid reader of the bible but stories of good and evil will always be pertinent to any good novel.

What an awesome review...surely this is the kind of book I need to read. The fact that it talks about Christianity even makes it more appealing to me.

To me this book not only makes the Bible come alive but, if you are a Christian it requires you to actually dig beeper and even look up the actual stories to compare. It can challenge you to open your point of view and view the stories of the lives of individuals we have idolize or used as a guide to our own lives.
