Children of Covenant by Fred Howard is a great 4-star fiction and LGBTQ book concerning family life and living religiously with inclusion, and dismissing any prejudice.

This is a great story to read. I think Ike shows a great character in the book, he helped someone who has different religion views knowing that people will judge him for his action.

Firstof all, the review was well written and it really convinced me to read the book. The way you stated the implication of the story to you after you have read it was quite interesting and I have to agree with your views. Your review made me want to read the book asap after I finish the book I am currently reading. I could say, according to the review, that this book is significant to the present situation of our Muslims, especially in our country, the Philippines. And I think that the story could also be relevant to other races with beliefs and cultures that are being demoralized. One worry about the review though is on the first paragraph, you used the word 'prejudice' three times, I think you should reword on that part. But over-all, I enjoyed reading your review!

Thank you for the lucid review! It seems like an intriguing book. Have added it to my must read list as I am anyways a very big fan of whodunits.

I hate all kinds of prejudices. I think I would like to read this book to see the rise and (hopefully) fall of the prejudice.

Umm, sounds like a difficult read to me. But since you have so much positives to say I guess I should give it a go.

At first I thought this will be a boring read having had to do with religions. Think about the scriptures, myths, and what-nots. But this book is more than that. It talks about our prejudices with other people, other sexes, other religions, other races. It allowed me to reexamine my views and perspectives. This book also educated readers on the British-India-Bangladesh-Pakistan conflict that happened decades ago and its consequences to its citizens. Such a timely novel!

This is a good review although it does seem to give away a little too much of the story. The book itself is an excellent contribution to the cause of dealing with prejudice. As I read the book I find myself in much agreement with the ideas proposed. We are all the children of our cultures and at times these cultures are hurtful rather than helpful. Using fiction as a means to address prejudice is always effective. I thank the author for the good attempt.

It's a good review for a great book for this 21st century. The author has done a wonderful job. I believe anybody coming into contact with this book should take advantage to read it and be well informed about prejudices.
