At first I was Kind of turned off by the subject material & decided I wasn't interested. But now that I have read this review I'm second guessing myself. My only real concern is is there a lot of graphic violence? I find there's enough of that I "real life" I do t need to read it when I escape with a book. Otherwise, it actually sounds like an amazing story!

I have little to no Knowledge of the Korean war. But it seems like an interesting read. Already have it in my line ups. Excited to read this one even if it's not that much My cup of tea.

This sounds like a great read. I enjoy history and am a veteran myself so I enjoy learning and reading about things like this. I do not know much about this war, but would jump at an opportunity to learn more about our older veterans and what they went through. Thank you for the review.

Great review! I've not read many books about war but it really sounds like an interesting book. With a 4 star rating I can't really pass it up. Profanity does not really bother me, depending on the context. Given what the book is about I guess it could be expected. I'm looking forward to reading this one.

To be honest, I don't know anything about Korean war. I would definitely like to read this book as I love historical novels very much. Thanks for this great review.

Thanks for the review. I love MASH also and that is all I really know about North Korea as well. I am glad that you gave it 4 stars even though there was a lot of swearing, because in wartime I am sure there is plenty, and the formatting could have just been an issue like you stated. Some people may have taken off for that, but I am glad that you still enjoyed the book.

Congrats to Todd and his Lost Bastards Book! I am always interested in anything Korean because it is one of the countries I have visited and had memorable, and delightful experiences. And most of all, one of our Filipino former Presidents - Gen. Fidel V. Ramos was with the Phil military contingent sent to Korea under the auspices of the U.N. We called it the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (or PEFTOK) and it was their adventures in Korea that inspired many Filipino producers to make movies about the Korean war. This will be a good read :techie-studyingbrown: for me. :tiphat:

I'm not a fan of war stories, so this book is not for me. However, the review suggests that the book is written so flawlessly that it would make an excellent read.

I'm not much of a historical fiction reader but it would definitely be interesting to read about war from this point of view!
