I'm not a fan of action genre but, given the intriguing plot of this book, I think I might like it. I would definitely read it once. Great review!

I've never read a western before...this sounds like a great series to start with! I also noticed that Book 1 is free, so I got that one, too! Thank you!!

From the preview I read and this review, it seems like this blends faith and plot skillfully without being preachy, which is something I'm always relieved by. Too often it can be heavy handed. Thanks for sharing this review!

In 'Official Review: Riding For The Brand by Dan Arnold', the introduction is brilliant and the reviewer weaves in the theme of the book.

The sample pages I read were fantastic! The way Dan Arnold has created the mood and his main character, John Everet, is truly like being right beside him as the story is unfolding. You could feel the tension of this man struggling with his choice to return as a law man. You felt for his wife and the beginning of the story of his kids. You want to know more, you want to see what he finds out about where his kids came from. You feel the tension of the towns people and the mistrust of something more. This will be a book I pick up and finish. It's old west at its best and an easy read for those who just want to get lost in the story and this trip to the past wild frontier.

I enjoyed your review and I enjoyed the sample of the book. Now I need to finish reading it. I enjoy westerns, especially faith based.

The chapters about a cattle round up were particularly interesting and I liked how the author included descriptions of the various jobs to be done.
The amount of detail and research required to present such a story is impressive. Beyond that, it is interesting. A good review for a good book.

I like books about the west, and Colorado is no exception. I enjoyed this thorough review on Riding For The Brand by Dan Arnold. I particularly like it when it has no spoiler so I can love that book!

I really enjoyed reading this. It follows along on his journey to try and help people out. The writer had me laughing and crying and going thru a whole range of emotions. Very well written and would recommend to anyone who is into westerns.

Might pass on this one. I can't find anything in your review that makes this book stand out from the plethora of Westerns already available. Good review, though.
