Thanks for a great review. Historical novels are not my cup of tea, but this one may prove to be my exception

Thank you for your review. I have never seen the movie you spoke of (Brave heart) but I am intrigued nonetheless. I will be adding this book to my summer reading list! :techie-studyinggray:

Thank you for the review, you make it sound fascinating. I am always interested in historical fiction, although I do agree they can sometimes be tricky too read and seperate fact from fiction. I don't know much about this time period and events, so it would be nice to read up on it some with this book. Thanks again for the review !

Thanks for your review. It sounds like this book gives the reader a very good feel for that time in Scottish history and also does a good job of explaining any historical leeway taken. This sounds like a very intense book, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Scotland is very fascinating to me, so I think I'll be taking a look. I don't know much about its history, so I think this book give me more depth.

Thank you for your review and your enthusiasm toward the book and genre altogether! Filled with action and adventure, today's BOTD sounds like quite the page turner for those interested in historical fiction! Unfortunately, this one is not for me, but I did enjoy hearing your thoughts. Thank you, again! :-)

I generally like historical fiction so naturally, I'd want to check out this book. Although I've never heard of William Wallace and only saw snippets of BraveHeart, (which is really not a good reference for me...too bloody), I'm especially intrigued by the rather young protagonist and would like to watch him morph into the hero he became. I'm pretty sure that this is the kind of book that would prompt me into reading the actual history of the nonfictional character, James Douglas. Thanks for the enthusiastic review.

I’m not really interested in historical fiction, and this book is no exception. It does sound like a great adventure for those who enjoy the genre, and I’m glad the author added the “Scottish and Archaic Words” section. I always find those types of additions very helpful, wherever it happens to be located within the book.

I like the introduction of the 'Official Review: A Kingdom's Cost, by J R Tomlin'. The review describes the book, bit by bit, from the beginning to the end. I appreciate the positive remark, about the ending of the story!

This seems like a great read! I don't usually read historical fiction novels, but I like that there seems to be a lot of action and adventure in this novel, so I might give this book a try. Great job on your book review!

Good review. Well written and enthusiastic about the book. He gave a good summary of it and I liked that he emphasized the relationship with William Wallace and how the main character fits with the historical Wallace.
I was, however, disappointed because he gave it a four out of four stars, because the editing was lacking in clarity even in the part I read from the book.
