It is definitely not for everyone and can be challenging to follow at times. If you are able to get through to the end, you may still find it lacking or confusing. I love that you are willing to try again and keep an open mind!

Agreed: credit to the author for even attempting a novel that involves time jumps! More power to him; according to your review, it seems he did a very good job!

I just got through the first section of this book and I was intrigued enough to continue on to the second section, but now I feel completely lost. Its taking me forever to trudge through this section. I don't know if I'm missing something or if I am just too tired when I'm reading it. I keep having to go back to remind myself what was going on in this section.
The review makes me want to continue. It does sound like an interesting concept.

This review is well done, and I'm more interested in reading the book now that I've know its theme and philosphoical scope. Good review!

The simple version is this: the reader is taken on a journey through time across the lives of many well known historical figures to learn about a complex operation that was created with a single mission. Kill God. This operation challenges every preconceived idea that humans have about how the world works and incorporates aliens, occult societies, secret codes, and human biology/psychology.
The mission alone intrigues me, but mulling over what I internally acknowledge about existence and the world's workings is a good reason for me to try this book.

The fact that this book will not be in chronological order doesn't bother me, either. This aspect could make the book more interesting. Thanks for the review!

Great review. From what I've read on amazon I'll definitely be checking this out. I enjoy a complex read as it stimulates the mind so I'm all for that. Assinating God is an interesting concept to write a book around.

Thank you so much...good job on your review! I am not sure this book is for me, but I can see why others who are lovers of the genre are going to love it! I really like the cover of the book. It seems symbolic of the text. I also like how you mentioned the lesson of the book and that the last sentence is where the understanding of it takes place, but that can only happen if you read the text in its entirety for it to make sense to the reader. Congrats to the author on the great review! Fantastic job, rachel_jacks. Your review was outstanding.

Great review! This sounds like a wonderful and exciting read. I look forward to reading this fantastic novel. It might take some time with all the twists and time jumps, but it sounds like a challenge.

The book certainly sounds like a trip (through time!) I tend to like science fiction but I don't like time travel nor do I like anything that has a lot of gore. As nice as the book sounds, I might have to give it a pass. Your review was really insightful and I thank you for the warning about particularly graphic scenes.
