Review of No Dark Clouds
No Dark Clouds by R.W Nelson is a Christian fiction that is basically centered around seven beggars. The hardships of the the seven beggars shows how much the author knows about the activities of beggar children in the society because he relates it to actual beggar children in India who had real life disabilities and struggles.
This book talks about seven beggars who go through a lot of trying moments in their lives as well as hardships and also the life of Jesus. The names of the seven beggars are Aditya, Scooter, Figs, Rebekah, Baa-Foo, the deformed baby and Beggar Boy. Six of the beggars excluding Beggar Boy work for the Taskmaster who drops them at different locations during the day while the proceeds are given to him after each day.
Beggar Boy is the protagonist of this book. He is also a beggar like the other six but he works for no one and he is known to have five scars on his face. He makes a living through begging and stealing. Beggar Boy is determined, selfless, persistent and hardworking as seen in this book. His meeting of the other six beggars would change their lives forever. He provides for them and helps them whenever they are in need.
As the story progresses, Jesus is known as the healer man in Rome and Jerusalem and beyond because of the several miracles he performed and also after he healed Favian the servant of Darius the centurion. He calls himself the Son of God which the people find offensive and decide to kill him to prevent him from turning the people away from Cesar. The presence of Jesus in this book brings hope to people. Baa-Foo and the deformed baby are healed and rescued from the hands of the Taskmaster. Beggar Boy also searches for Jesus to be healed of his scars but his scars are not only healed but also his heart and his name is changed to Zachary by Jesus.
I recommend this book especially for Christians as it is easier for the to relate because this book is centered around the life of Jesus. I also recommend it for Christian scholars who are interested in having more in-depth knowledge about christian history. This book also shows how the coming of Jesus has brought hope to many that are going through hardships and has liberated us from sicknesses, diseases and deformities of any kind.
I give this book a 4 out of 4. I found no errors and the book was carefully edited by the author and there's no use of vulgar words. The book is intriguing and very interesting to read. The author did a great work.
