I like how the author has managed to incorporate a story in order to explain Christianity and what it involves.

One issue I have with true-life stories written into fiction is that often the writers try to write their version of the truth and make people believe it, however, this book has been satisfactory so far from my perspective. The characters seem captivating and the author's style of writing is really good. I am not a religious person or particularly a fan of historical fiction but I have been having a good time reading this book. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD. It is well deserved.

The choice between forgiveness and revenge is always not an easy one. However, I believe that choosing the former would always bring peace. This is a wonderful novel written by Grant Hallstrom. Nice review!

Amora decided to do what was right rather than doing what pleases the society, choosing between revenge and forgiveness is the most difficultchoice indeed. As soon as I read the words historical fiction, I made it a point to read it this week. It will definitely do good to me, and I'm already curious about who the murderer is. Thanks for the review!

The murder of Natalie sets the tension in the story of the marriage between Leo and Amora. I just feel bad about it. Great plot presentation.

Although it is not easy, I hope Amora will eventually forgive the murderer of her daughter. That is what Christianity teaches after all. And that's the religion that Amora was later introduced to.

I love reading historical fiction, and this one is set in an era earlier than I usually prefer. I wonder who killed Amora's daughter. In reality, it's quite difficult to forgive someone who harmed your loved ones. I'm looking forward to reading more about this book. Thanks for your review.

I love a good story and this one seems like one. I can't even begin to imagine what she felt when she was faces with that decision. Vengeance or forgiveness? I'd like to finish reading it and fully appreciate its contents. Congratulations on the BOTD though.

Wow, pretty tough. Thank you for sharing such an insightful review of this story that is certainly one of growth. Through your words, I can see in Amora a woman who had great personal growth through a religious approach. It really is a story to reflect on.

It was a very hard task that Amira took on. The battle of choosing between revenge and forgiveness is hard, specially when the loss is your child. This looks like an interesting read. Congrats on BOTD!!

Fabulous. I am a huge fan of historical fiction, I can only imagine the pain a parent feels when losing a child and choosing how to go on with life after that. Thank you for the excellent review!
