While I am interested in historical fiction, I'm not too keen on Casanova-style male characters. (We have enough of those in real life! ๐Ÿ˜…)

Thank you for your honest and well-written review.

This book seems like a mixed bag for me; I love historical fiction and romance, but truly despise the lack of closure. I really appreciate your detailed and insightful review, thank you.

I'm not a big fan of historical fiction, so I'll pass on this book. Great review, though!

The book dates back to 1600s๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ I don't think I'd be interested in historical fiction that feels this old. It should be called vintage fiction. ๐Ÿ˜…

I like that there is some romance in historical fiction, as it should be.
My history of England is limited too and I might benefit from this book as well.

Great review!

I love historical romance, but I'm not sure about women's oppression, so this is sort of a mixed bag for me. Thank you so much for the insightful review!!
