Through this review, I was able to get some Irish and British history and how prisoners and British military forces moved in Australia. Great review, historical fiction readers will love this book.

Loosing a friend to a senseless killing can be heart wrenching. I have a feeling the particulars of Kinneen's relationship with Molloy will be worth the entire read.

I don't there is anything to dislike about this book, each character are portrayed so well it doesn't seems like a fiction. Many will also be able to relate that how situation changes and to handle it with concious mind.
Thanks for the review.

It's nice to read a novel like this that enables the reader to immerse in the story. The tough character of Brendan Kinneen is admirable.

Going from a semimarian to a rebel fighter is an interesting transition for Brendan. Granted, it was taken out of his hand after he lost his friend. Stories like this make me grateful that we live a relatively peaceful and civil era.
