A historical novel among Spartan warriors sounds intriguing and educational. I would love to learn more about Greek culture and the Peloponnesian War. Excellent review! Thanks!

An historical spartan story, just like the likes of other spartan read, full of suspense and fighting. Hope to read this someday. Thanks for the review. Congrats on BOTD.

An accurate historical fiction that combines political intrigue, realities of war, and the intricacies of humanity to form one epic tale sounds like an informative and interesting read. I'm curious to follow Nikos’ story and, therefore, look forward to reading this. Thank you for this excellent review!

Thanks for the review! It indeed seems like an intriguing book, but the prologue with its historical background was somewhat of a put-downer for me.

I love that this explores Nikos coming of age as well as the military aspects of being a Spartan warrior. I hate war stories that are only about war not the human element of it. I'm curious to see how historically accurate this portrayal is as well and how well it sucks the reader into the inner workings of the Spartan military, including the political aspects. Thank you for the helpful review.

Sounds like a good coming of age story. Character is showing issues some people have today. One he learned to be a warrior and in a special unit, but then he is torn between love forms women and the career he built. People still fight with that today, trying to find a balance to have both. This one isn't for me , but congratulations on BOTD.

A very interesting book to read. Your review is well detailed and does justice to summarizing the book.
