Having grown up in the rural midwest, this book sounds interesting to me. Railroads are such a big part of the midwest, and they've always intrigued me. I think I might like it!!!

I'm also impressed by Kurt's belief that the color of the skin shouldn’t matter. I think I can enjoy this one. Also, I hope the editing issues will be addressed to make it more appealing. Excellent review!

It did add a little more intrigue to the book. Thanks for the comments!

Thanks, Fazzier! The errors weren't so glaring that they were distracting; there were just a few too many. I hope you get a chance to read it as I do think you would enjoy it!

Kurt's memoir seems a bit sad because of his childhood experienced. Nice review.

What a very creative title! And stories grounded in experience do seem to be more believable. I do hope the errors get fixed. Thanks for this review!

He did have a lot of sad experiences, but it doesn't come across as a depressing book. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I have not read many books that tell of racial tension. I am hesitant to read this one. I sometimes get sensitive. Thanks for the review!

I can really enjoy a good historical fiction when they come down the line. To be honest it is about the only way that I enjoy history. sadly this one seems like a pass for me. Thank you for the reveiw. saved me hours. The title would have caught me.
