Wow, your well written review has definitely caught my interest. True murder story with some mystery mixed in. Then add the historical perspective of CSI work in 1907 in the context of Morman culture. I will add this to my want to read list.

I love the fictional interpretation of real-life events. It keeps real-life from sounding too boring. Plus it is so hard to KNOW everything. You will never have a true insight into anyone's thoughts so you do your best to postulate. This sounds like a great book. Nice review.

The CSI work was interesting. So much of it is the same today as it was 100+ years ago. And so much is different.

What a great way of putting it: disorder in Orderville! Wish I'd thought of that when I was writing the review.

This sounds like a great book. I've always been interested in Mormon culture so seeing how they react to tragedy would be intriguing.

Learning about Mormon culture during that time period was very interesting.

I do love a good murder mystery. 8-)

Thank you for the detailed review! I am a sucker for crime mysteries, even more so if the stories have an element of truth to it! I will have to add this to my list of books to read, and hope that I will enjoy it as much as you did!

A fictionalized account of a real life murder of a young girl that took place in the early 1900’s sounds intriguing. Using dialogues to convey information is a good method to tell a story. That it is well researched is another plus. It is good that there weren’t any noticeable errors. It sounds too slow-paced for my taste, but I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!

This book falls under the murder mystery and historical fiction genres. It is an exciting thriller with a unique and captivating plot. The book is free on Amazon Kindle and has a detailed onlinebookclub review that I would recommend reading before starting the book. Congrats on being the BOTD.

Crime is always an interesting topic in fiction, but when it is based on a real event which is researched thoroughly by the author, then it becomes absorbing and interesting reading, and not just a thriller. Historical facts and interesting detail which are added to the thread of the story make it a compulsive read and I agree with and like your review.

The fact that it is based on a true story this is a must read for me. I would like to know what happened after the murderer was known. Thanks for such a great review.
