What a wonderful phrase...Miriam Molina wrote: ↑18 Nov 2018, 16:35 What an enjoyable review! I was sitting beside Landon, pressing the nose of his Teddy while singing Hakuna Matata.
You got me going now.

I was actually going to mention a sequel or a bit of a series with Landon and his teddy backpack

I know! I don't have an underground system in my country, so whenever I travel, riding the subway is definitely a noveltyBook Lover 35 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2018, 23:51 I remember riding the subway for the first time. It was exciting. I can understand why kids would be excited. I like that there's a teddy bear backpack. That's adorable. Great review!

I think anything semi-out-of-the-ordinary is exciting for kids. The author just has to get it rightkandscreeley wrote: ↑19 Nov 2018, 09:15 Interesting. I can't say I would think riding the subway is something awe-inspiring. However, to a child that has never experienced it before, I suppose it could be. Sounds like a pretty neat children's book. Thanks.

I know - she nailed all the good stuffJulie Green wrote: ↑19 Nov 2018, 13:31 Excellent review. I can tell it's clearly a great children's book by your observation that it creates the "vibe" of the subway, the people, music etc. And, of course, great illustrations!
Thanks, Julie!

Exactly! Kids tend to fear things before they love them, so hopefully this would help
