I love reading reviews of children's book. So much detail and description from a book of pictures. Thanks for the great review and I agree, sounds like a great book for kids.

The whimsical drawing is another plus. . Sally does sound like a wonderful character and one kids could relate to. Thank you for the great review!
I totally agree with Gali. We do need more stories with non-conventional protagonists, and this definitely hits the mark. Thanks for the detailed review!

Is this story just about now? I knew of characters in movies who were straddled in wheelchairs, their wheelchairs were virtually moving arsenals, with missiles and machine guns. But I presume, this female heroine of yours must be doing all the works the hard way, and that makes her the greater. Thanks for the fine review.

I always love a story that depicts an individual who isn't deterred by his or her inability! I look forward to reading this to my children!

The locals refer to Max as a "monster." Still, he looked like a cute "generic" beast to me, although he was large.

Rey - No missiles or machine guns on her wheelchair. Sally just used creativity and smarts!
