Toni The Superhero
Written by R. D. Base
Illustrated by Debbie Hefke

Toni The Superhero is a children's book intended for children who are only starting to read. The book is composed of 30 pages.

The book is about Toni, a boy who loves physical exercises such as running, swimming and dancing but manages to make time for doing his chores at home. Despite his busy schedule as a superhero, he still manages to play with other children and helps his mother in washing the dishes. He also bonds with his mother through dancing.

The illustrations in the book are well-drawn and the colors of the pictures are eye-friendly. The illustrations have accurately shown the descriptions of the texts of the book. This would definitely help the children in identifying action words in each sentence.

I appreciate that the illustrator drawn pictures of fruits and vegetables that Toni loves to eat. It is a good mindset for children to eat healthily.

Although the book is intended for children who are only starting to read, it teaches the children about being helpful not only to their loved ones but also to animals by rescuing them. This immediately caught my attention because this is a learning curve for children to love animals.

The book also gives an idea for children to play outdoors which is good for their immune system. This could be seen through this book because of the illustrations. This is a good idea for parents to encourage their children to play outside which not only improves their stamina but also their social skills. This would also reduce the time they spent on gadgets. I understand that gadgets or technology is a part of the current generation but it does not mean that they should spend more time playing games. There are benefits of using technology but this should be monitored moderately by parents to discourage reliance on technology.

The book promotes the idea of choosing which talent to develop. Children can choose from singing, dancing, and drawing. It also promotes the idea of good sleep which is essential for every child's growth.

Toni The Superhero does not have any plot to follow but it would teach the children that small good deeds such as helping people and rescuing animals do not need any superpowers. It simply implies that children can be a hero by just helping others.

I would recommend this book to parents who have children that are only starting to read. I would rate this book of 4 out of 4 stars because it's a good book to be read by children and would definitely teach them of good moral character, love of sports and cleanliness in their home.

I have the review of book Toni the Superhero by R.D Base. This story is revolving around a protagonist character of Toni. Toni is playing like a superhero in his imagination, but actually, he is a child and doing the little activities. He is obeying his mother in her kitchen work and house life activities. It is not a conventional story but is an adventure for kids and children. Thanks for your good review amsula.
Your welcome. You have an amazing summary of the book..😊

hi amsula, you have said in your review that pictures can be a lot to the children for their self-care like the habit of eating.
eating habit of the children can be increased through the help of reading this book and showing them the pictures of eating.
