This fun filled story book Toni the superhero written to capture the attention of children highlights the life of a young boy who participate in certain everyday activities which are overlooked and downplayed by most children that contribute to the overall development and well being of children. These activities which promote the principal character as a role model to other children. The author writes using illustrations which clearly portray simple beneficial activities that any child who wants to be a superhero like the main character can easily emulate.

set in present day society where the need to mingle with others and still develop the right outlook to life and communal living, is daily been challenged by the many forms of distractions children face and the impact it has on their personal development. Deep within, every child wants to be a superhero. This book does a good job of pointing children to the unique characteristics, abilities, skills and habits which would enable them to qualify as super heroes and heroines and set them apart from their peer both at home and in their immediate surrounding. As such, this book is an easy guide crafted to inspire children to strive to be in the league of those who are superheroes.

The overall theme of Toni the superhero is creating heroes out of children. The emphasis not being placed on the hero's cloak but on the different activities which if copied would qualify all participating children as heroes. The simplistic manner in which the story is written and illustrated makes it a unique piece of creative work. The sentences are short and easy to read. However, for a child who can not read yet, the attention grabbing illustrations affords such children the opportunity to visualize the actions being read out to them. Most importantly, the story line exposes timeless secrets for proper development of any child. This positions this children's storybook as an important resource for every care giver, parent and grand parent.

I particularly like this book because it backs the storyline with vivid pictures which show actions that can be copied by any child. My little boys would never let go of it. Children would want to carry out every single action illustrated in the book. And, if children get to do the right thing without any form of coercion from parents, then this book is not just fun but educational too.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because not only was the work professionally edited, the storyline is presented in ways which evoke the right responses from children.
