This is a good review, offering an interesting summary of the story in the book: The Adventures of Oscar and the Lounge Lizard. Divorce is a difficult situation, and children suffer the most from the break. Any distraction from the pain of the moment is often welcome.

An ordinary eight-year-old boy, Oscar, meets Larry, the talking lizard. This would really fascinate my children, Beatus Jr. and his little sister Bernice. Because of this review I will try to get thus book for them. Thanks.

I do not know any children for whom this is relevant right now, but it sounds very well-written and I like the idea of including the context clues for educational purposes. Thanks for your review.

I sampled the book on Amazon. The story begins with Oscar, a boy confronting a lizard called Larry. Oscar talks to Larry about his life. As mentioned in the review by JessNWheeler, this book has a lot of humane messages and would be enjoyed by young adults for its storyline.
