Reading this book was a fun trip: you had the singing potatoes, the bright illustrations and the overall happy atmosphere, yet the sudden ending was so hilariously cruel! Spoiler alert: this somehow reminds me of Annoying Orange: a fruit always dies in the end.

Four Funny Potatoes by Len Foley is a quick, light-hearted read for younger children. The official review refers to all the silliness, which perfectly describes this book. If you have a child with a silly sense-of-humor and who picks up on witty jokes, then this book would be a good fit for them. From my classroom experience, this book would be best suited for Kinder through 2nd grades. The story, the art work, and the word play all work together to make this book a fun read.

I already know that my daughter will love this story. Children love large colorful pictures and ridiculous twists such as a banana being mistaken for a potato. Great review.

Congratulations on BOTD. I love happy positive things. And this definitely sounds to be exactly that. I wouldn't mind reading to a child one day.

This seems like a fun story for kids! I am curious about these potatoes who put on a show at night. I wonder what eventually happens to the banana... :eusa-think:
