I'm already in love with this book, I honestly can't see any reason why it won't be added to my shelf this very minute. The fact that the illustrations were creative and detailed, adding to the overall enjoyment of the book, is a huge incentive for me. Thanks for the awesome review.

The story of two boys, passing a turbulent life in the hope of good days is quite interesting. Thanks for your review.

The cover of this book is delightful, and I am glad that the inside is a match! I love well-written children's books, and I like to pass them on. I will have to check this one out and see if my numerous nieces, nephews, and god-children would appreciate it. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like such an adorable book. I would like to know the rest of the mandates; they sound quite entertaining. Your review has a nice whimsical quality to match that of the book. It's so great when us adults can enjoy reviewing children's books.

Sounds like the author did a great job for the audience for which it is intended. I think it gives kids a reason to be grateful for what they have by reading a tale about two boys who arenโ€™t treated right. Itโ€™s a tale as old as time, but our youth need to be reminded of how great they do have it when their home is loving and kind. Sounds like a good one.

I adore your review! With such a delightful summary and your positive feelings about the story, I think it sounds like a wonderful story and I will probably read it myself. I often think artwork can be a detriment with a good book. We are better off using our imaginations to create the pictures.

Thanks for another well-written, interesting review! I love your description of "finding inspiration in the mundane." I can see kids loving this story due to the whimisical touches. The kind deeds are also a nice bonus to teach kids good values. Well done!

Thanks for the review! It's clear you truly enjoyed reading this one.
Thanks for taking the time to read what I've written. I really did like this one, I hope the author finds an audience.

From my resulting discussions with the author, I do think she intends it to be categorized as fantasy. There are certainly lots of fantastic aspects.

Thanks for reading my review!

I hope you do read it, I would love to hear another opinion!

Haha, I was soooo close to referencing these "similarities" in the review but the author won me over with her cute inclusions so I gave her a pass. :liar:

Honestly, the frogs were never described. There was actually very little "frog" inclusion besides the title and name of the hotel. The proprietor is characterized as being a bit froglike in stature but beyond that... :eusa-think:
