I guess parents could read aloud small sections to a younger child, but it would take a long time to finish the book. I am not sure a child would be able to keep track of the plot over a long period of individual read-alouds. The book is too long and involved for kids who are 7 or 8, and I think kids who are older than that will find the story too juvenile. I guess it all depends on the child. Some kids are advanced readers for their age.
I did get your point from the review. I was actually saying in jest that even at my age, I will still enjoy the book. It is true, though, that the book is too long for the targeted audience. I read both Diary of a Snoopy Cat and Ninja Cats. I don't know how long those two books are, but this new one seems much longer.

Thanks for your clarification; I'm sure parents and educators will appreciate it.

Wow! I just have to say, in addition to my comments on your other R.F. Kristi review today, I thoroughly appreciate the detail you incorporate into your retellings. It's clear you took the time to deeply delve into everything the author offered.

Thanks for this great review!

Thanks Miriam and NL Hartje for the nice feedback. Miriam - The page count is 176 pages as per Amazon although it certainly wasn't a dense read.

I enjoyed the adventures of Inca and her friends in other installments of this book series and I don't think I'll wait for the Halloween to read this one because now I'm wondering if that Calico cat's human friend will really turn into a vampire.

My first review was for another one of the books in the series where I noticed similar typographic and grammar errors. I really wish she would let someone proofread the books for her.

Still, a story set in Transylvania at Bran Castle sounds like something I might enjoy for a light read.

The title is interesting. I read some Inca stories, and I thought your rating is fair. However, she is a cute cat with a large personality. Thanks for your honest review.
