The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede

Post by Elizabeth Pass »

I absolutely loved The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede when I was younger. My mother worked for the library and brought home two of the books thinking her kids might like them since the titles included dragons. We absolutely loved these books. The characters were unique, the stories were exciting, and the writing was engaging. Both of my sisters and I bought our own copies because we love them so much.

Has anyone else read them? I'd love to hear from anyone who has.

My husband has a similar story. He read them as a kid and really enjoyed them. One day, we were at Barnes & Noble (because I am a bibliophile) and he decided he wanted to find these books again.

Luckily, someone was able to figure out the books he described and he has gotten back into reading. That was six years ago and he is still reading books, primarily fantasy, and it makes me so happy. He never claimed to be a reader, aside from Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Now we spend time together reading.

I've also read a couple of these books. They were super cute!

The books were suitable only for children who use English as their first language. They were not applicable for students who use English as their second language.
