I am very interested in this book because I've visited both the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. I would really like to read this book to learn more from a more local perspective. Thank you!

I'm glad to hear that from you. You could identify the differences and similarities of both mosques during the early 60's and during your visit. I'll be glad to hear your comments after reading the book. Thank you...

I recall that Aladdin was also stealing bread and fruit. Was the setting also Istanbul?
We miss you at the games, kabayan!

Wow, it's nice to hear that from you!Miriam Molina wrote: ↑21 Mar 2018, 06:23 Hi, Dolor. Istanbul is one of my dream destinations. I will happily join Agnes, Agee, and Yusuf in roaming the streets in search of the "spicy" truth.

I'm sorry to tell you that the persons you mentioned can't join with you this time. The journey was in early 60's. I don't know if grandma Agee is still alive and if Yusuf and Agnes are still up for a tour.
Alladin's setting is also in the Middle East.
Did you miss me in the forum? Oh, sorry for that... I'm very busy these days. Maybe next time I'll join again. It's nice to know I got friends who miss me.

I would be glad if you could give me the improvement or the difference of the descriptions of the place back when you had been there from the descriptions on this book.stoppoppingtheP wrote: ↑28 May 2018, 05:14 Thanks for the review. I think that I would enjoy this book because I have been to Turkey many times, and know the country and place well.
