there is no school to be a parent, but this book teaches parents how to be a proper parent. who would have thought that the questions you ask at school today would have a big impact on your child's psychology and cognitive development. I think this book is a kind of child psychology book as well as a guidebook for parents on how to be a parent.

This book is great to read to kids. If it fixes it's rhyme scheme and emphasis on onamonapia, it would be up there with the Dr.Suess books.

This fact is always ignored in the day-to-day. Children often turn to us to share their adventures and experiences at school, but they are only met with our evasion and negative behavior because of our tight time. So this book presents you a way of understanding them for the growth of our relationship with the little ones.

Great review. As a young parent, I have been looking at parenting books, schools around me, and all that. Indeed, it crossed my mind once or twice that you can never really know what happens in school unless you pay a keen interest. I absolutely love this book's premise and I know that very many people will as well.

"How was your day at school?" by C.C. Lacavera took me back to those cherished moments of childhood when parents would ask that simple yet profound question. It made me reflect on how much happens in a child’s day—things we often don’t see or realize. The book opened my eyes to just how much kids experience, experiment with, and absorb while in school. Some of it is surprising, even a little shocking, but all of it shapes who they are becoming.

Lacavera’s words feel like a gentle reminder of something we already know deep down but sometimes forget—the bond between a parent and child is everything. It’s not just about talking but about truly connecting, noticing the little changes, and stepping in with love and care when something feels off. This kind of communication is so vital, not just for their safety but for their growth and happiness.

This book isn’t just a recommendation for parents and guardians—it’s an experience. It feels like someone holding your hand and walking you through the beautiful, complicated, messy world of a child’s life. For me, it’s a reminder that being present and truly listening can make all the difference.

As a mother of two young children, this book sounds as though it would be very beneficial in our home. I'm always trying to engage my children and usually they respond with "I don't know" or "I don't remember". I'm looking forward to adding this to my home library.

This seems like a wonderful tool for parents to have engaging conversations with their kids about school. The creative questions can help strengthen bonds and encourage children to share their daily experiences.
