A book of gross things - little boys rejoice! :P Thanks for the thorough and well-written review. I'm even more excited to check out these illustrations for myself. It's nice to see a kids' book as BOTD. :)

This book about a boy and smelly things seems like just the kind of thing that would make a child laugh. I like the illustrations, as you mentioned, they are unique. Great job on your review! I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to give it 4 stars!

The alliteration of the title and your review make it sound fun. However, it sounds like something I would have to check with my sister before reading to her kids. However, I might still read it as I am a kid at heart.

This book sounds like such a cute fun read. I'm sure adults and children alike would enjoy it unless they are put off by gross pictures and smells. I like how there is a cute little mystery to it with Sigfried trying to get to the bottom of why his book smells so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Great review!

I think I am one of those people mentioned in the review that might be turned off by the book. Was not a fan.

I agree with this reviewer's assessment. While I appreciated the illustrations, I found the story line a little gross and not something I would want to read to young children who already have a fascination with bodily functions that sometimes can be inappropriately expressed. Having said that, her cautionary statement at the end was perfect! :tiphat:

Great review. It sounds like there's lots of mild gross-out moments in the book; good idea to warn readers just in case they have queasy stomachs. :)

I've read so many great reviews of this kids' book that I'll have to see for myself. Is it the whole thing really so gross?

I find that my young nieces love the really gross stories read to them. I think that this one would fit right in. Illustrations make a children's book, so I'm glad to hear that this book has great pictures. Thanks for the review

This book definitely sounds like something that little boys would enjoy. I can imagine little kids laughing at all of gross smells. I like that the author does not have a filter and makes something that others would find weird to be funny. I agree with the age bracket that you gave for a story such as this one. This book would be great for children who are becoming independent readers.
