Books like this who have very sensible goals hold my greatest respect (for this book: raising appreciation and giving information on uncommonly domesticated animals). If not for the unrefined writing and point of view (as the review implied) I think this would have been a wonderful book.

A children's book about a ferret and his owner sounds charming. The photograph illustrations are great! The premise sounds great, so a pity about t the execution. Too bad the writing isn't polished, the point of view isn't always clear, and the author glosses over details. Not for me, but I am glad you enjoyed the book despite its flaws. A book about a pet ferret, Chubby, could be an interesting one to learn about ferrets. The photos of a real ferret would help children know clearly what a ferret looks like.

Expanding on the story would be good but perhaps turning this into a type of series of books may be a better choice. Sort of like The Big Red Dog and Curious type type books. I agree with this review as it seems like the book was written in a hurry.

I couldn’t quite understand why the book would be needed, but then I found your explanation here regarding the idea that children could see pictures of this particular animal. That makes sense as many do not have this type of creature where they live. I thought the sample pages were a bit dull, and all of your suggestions on how to spruce it up a bit seemed great. I hope the author reworks this one a little bit. Thanks for more insight on this one.

Chubby Wubbles by M. J. Abrams sounds pretty good. My nephew loves book which are illustrated by pictures and I think this will be the best book for him. Secondly, he will easily relate with Chubby as a character and so I will recommend this book to him. Great review.

Thanks for the review! Although I didn’t 100% agree with your review I appreciate it. This is a short book for kids with short attention span I don’t understand how long you wanted the book to be? I don’t know what you’re talking about about the duality of the stories it was a singular story with the singular purpose I wasn’t confused at who was talking I still appreciate the review though.

I like that the author has included an unlikely protagonist for this cute story. It's not often that you see a story that stars this animal. I like that the pictures are engaging, but it does sound like the writing needs some work by slowing the pace down. Thanks for the wonderful review!
