Thank you for the review of The Oregon Kids: Runaway Whiskers by Bob Richley. This sounds like a wonderful children's story that no matter how badly we want something, if it belongs to someone else we need to return it. Children's books, unfortunately, don't always format well on e-books, but I'll check it out.

I like the lesson that the book teaches. My nephew really loves the illustrations. Anything with animals is up his alley. I would agree with the review that some of the text is on the small size. I would have liked to have had them a little bigger.

THE OREGON KIDS.
Actually this novel sounds quite interesting, for children. The author did a great job in this book in disseminating moral values to the kids, this children's books, teaches a lesson - no matter how badly we want something, if it belongs to someone else we need to return it.
Can't wait to read and grab all the excitement.

You were so correct in saying this book would serve as a means to teach a child what to do when they find something that doesn't belong to them. It is also a lesson some adults could use a refresher course on. :) I totally agree with you on the illustration. The illustrator gave more attention to the actual characters while giving only the minimal detail to the environmental illustrations to allow the reader to determine the setting of that particular part of the story. For the age range this book is meant for, I think this illustration practice is appropriate. My only wish is that the colors be a little more vibrant.

This sounds like a lovely story with valuable life lessons. I also struggled to read the download as the text was so very small. Thank you for the detail in your review. I’d be interested to know the age range of K-3 children as these are defined differently in the UK.

Sounds like a valuable lesson for adults as well as kids. Since I don't have children of my own, I will pass this book series on to my sister for her 3 little ones.

Thank you for the great review. The book would be a perfect read for children. Filled with relatable and amazong lessons, they'd be instilled moral values such as honesty and responsibilities in their selves.

Nice, insightful review! It's always nice when a children's book can provide an important, universal lesson in addition to being entertaining. Having a picture of a crying child on the cover doesn't seem the best way to entice a child to read the book. Still, the story does sound interesting.

This book has good themes for kids of returning something which doesn't belong to you, no matter how much you want it, as well as the responsibilities of keeping a pet. Great review

Great book for kids! I love that it has a good moral foundation. Not my cup of tea, but this would be a great book for moms and grandmas to get for their kiddos. Thanks for the review!
