Harry Potter set the bar when it comes to magic stories. A lot of the new age books seem to borrow a lot from it. I'm yet to encounter one that exceeds my expectations.

I find it fascinating to read about the extraordinary, to escape from the humdrum of ordinary living. Magic seems to be our avenue to defy the common, or vulgar in our existence. This book could feed our fantasy, to dwell in the whimsical world of the imagination where there is no limit to the possibilities. Thank you for the wonderful review.

I love a good introduction to fantasy! Thanks for reading this one; I'll keep it on my list of possibilities. I think it's great for our just-for-fun books to be similar to the ones we already love if it keeps us reading!

I love fantasy! If the story keeps a good pace throughout the book, that's a plus. Since the title of the book is Dragon Born, I'm sure the story will take a different turn from Harry Potter. I'll definitely read this one. Thanks for the magical review!

I've had enough of Harry Potter's for a while, but I don't think I'll ever have enough of Charlie and the chocolate factory; :lol2: maybe that's because I love chocolate, but who can tell?

I've enjoyed other Lourenco books before, and may just have to give this one a try. I don't have a problem with books that resemble Harry Potter-- it's a style of storytelling that combines a lot of what I love in a book, and as long as the author puts their own spin on it, I tend to be okay with the similarities (examples: Hex Hall, Carry On, etc). Looking forward to reading this!

The review made me think of Harry Potter as well but it would be nice to see a female version. Thank you for the review, it was detailed and very informative. I will keep it in mind for when I read this book.

Although I am not a Harry Potter fan, I am a fantasy fan. I enjoy dragons and magic. After reading your review I would have to consider reading the book series. Thank you for your review on "Dragon Born"

I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. I would be interested to see how the two series correlate and then how Dragon Born will differ.
