The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton *Spoiler Alert*

Post by KatMint »

This is a delightful story of a house that is out in the beautiful countryside at the beginning, but becomes engulfed by the big city and squashed by the big, ugly buildings. A loving family rescues her and takes her back out to the country. It's a very simple story, but the illustrations and the language make it a timeless classic.

Published by Houghton Mifflin in 1942.

Thank you for your review of "The Little House". As adults, some of us have seen this story played out in real life. It sounds like this is a book to be on the look out, to read to the grandchildren.
