Rose Revere, Engineer by Angela Beaty

This is a great children's book about a young girl who loves to create things out of a wide variety of gismos and gadgets. Rosie wants to grow up to be an engineer and create great things. At just the right time in Rosie's life, her great, great aunt comes for a visit (the aunt seems very familiar). They work together to meet one great goal together. This book is an excellent motivator for encouraging girls into the fields of math and science. The illustrations are also creative and whimsical. The other book in the series is called Iggy Peck, Architect; also a quality book.

Thank you for your review of " Rose Revere, Engineer. As you were starting your review, I was thinking of what a great book this would be for girls, and then you followed with the thought of the book "encouraging girls in the fields of math and science". What a wonderful way for girls to realize anything is possible.
