Great review! I wonder why she chose to make Rocky a Norway Spruce? I also laugh lots at the image that is conjured when I think of Bruce Spruce the bully- this tall Christmas tree wearing a skull T-shirt and beanie hat, obviously Jimbo Jones as a Xmas tree! Sounds like a great book and I'm excited to feeling Christmassy and reading it! Thanks.

I love the way Jennie E. Nicassio utilizes the " charlie brown tree," a beloved old chestnut most parents undoubtedly remember fondly, in Rocky. The wish of a little tree, Rocky, to one day be the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree serves as a vehicle to boost the child's self esteem as well as to deal with bullies.

A book touching on such universal themes as keeping the faith, believing in oneself, and persevering through adversity is very interesting to read. The cover photo also adds to its uniqueness. Congrats for a well written review!

Thanks for the review! The book certainly sounds interesting and approachable for young readers, since you mention the good images and flow of the story. The tree being the protagonist adds a nice touch.

This sounds like a fun holiday read for the whole family! I love Christmas stories, and it's always nice when the author can incorporate life lessons without taking away from the enjoyment. Thank you for your review!
