Sounds like a fun book to read. I, myself, am a fan of magical creatures and I think gnomes are cute and lovable. However, considering the part about 'the hero leaves home without telling anyone', I think this book should be read with guidance from an older person. Great job on the review.

The Gnomes in the Trees sounds adorable. I still love reading a good children's book. I especially enjoy stories of Elves, Fairies and Gnomes. I appreciate you mentioning that it would be better in print. Some books are. Especially those with lots of colorful illustrations.
I was a little apprehensive about the issue of Jacky leaving without telling anyone. After the author explained how it came about and how the issue is handled in the second book, I feel much better. It just means I will need to order the complete series.
As if I need an excuse to buy more books.
