I loved reading this review. Having only read the first ten pages, I didn't realize that there was such a rich plotline - not only for Shota and Azuki, but for Anko and Benjamin as well.

Wow! This book sounds like it was written just for me! I'm going to have to read it now! And it's not often a review can make me actually buy a book.
Great review!

I enjoyed reading your review, it whet my appetite to read this book. I am always interested in cross-cultural relationships and learning about new cultures. I also think one is never too old to read a good children's book.

Great review, you just make it impossible not to check it out. I read the Amazon sample. I think my daughter will love this too.

I agree with you about beings with a dual nature. It sounds interesting :)

I loved your review. The book looks very good, and how wouldn't with that story and the fact that it combines different cultures makes it even better. I noticed Your enthusiasm for it in the review, that makes me excited to read it.

I first read the sample of the book and then your review. This sounds like a fantastic book for my 3rd grader. The author has quite the imagination, and this far it is beautifully written. Thank you for the great review. I will surely be adding this book to my list. :)

What a lovely review! In this day and age, with zombies running rampant and alien invaders attacking..and worse...it is refreshing to read a well written, non-violent, and peaceful feeling novel about a different culture and the possibilities of young love and innocence that exists within this young girl's mind. The fantasy of being half bird is one I think we all share, no matter what age we are. After all, who wouldn't love to soar above the Earth with your soul mate by your side? A thoroughly enjoyable story, and I'm looking forward to finishing this book, so I can read the next one!
