So this books is not just for entertaining but also for educational purposes. How sweet! Time zones can be a difficult concept to grasp for kids. I'm glad the author could include illustrations to make the kids internalize the concept smoothly. Thanks for the great review!

That's really neat that you were able to find a book written by an author that you were already familiar with!

I love that the author is the illustrator as well. This is the way a children's book should be. Fun, imaginative, as well as informative. Perfect! Thanks for a lovely review of a nice children's book.

Sounds like a really cool premise. And, speaking from the point of view of a parent doing the reading, I like when books can be thought-provoking. It keeps me from wanting to claw my face off when I read something for the 5 billionth time :)

How cute! This is definitely a book I want to share with my child. Not only is it creative, it's educational. It may even be great at explain time zones to my kid in a way I couldn't. I also like how the author uses "offbeat places" than the usual examples. Thanks sharing your thoughts! I'll be adding this title to my list. (:

Wonderful review bookowlie! I'm already curious about the author and the way you describe the daydreams as 'magic-carpet-ride' has piqued my interest. I love it when an author illustrates their book by themselves. Adds an essential personal feel to the story.
