I like the idea that Bigfoot is portrayed in a positive light. Thanks for the review.

This book was fun to read. Even though it's clearly written for a younger audience, I can't wait to read it. I do agree with your observation on the fact that a character getting away with a crime doesn't teach kids a good lesson. But the development of the other characters will hopefully make up for that. Lovely review :tiphat:

Gail's review is concise and fun to read. I feel like I already new the characters. I have heard of the Bigfoot legend and I am as curious as most about it. I am looking forward to reading it

Insightful and enlightening review.... Onion Weed, Tennessee and its population, or lack thereof, of big foots, is sure to be an interesting read for tweens and teens alike.

Thanks for the great review. Does Big Foot really exist? I guess I will have to read the story and find out. I love the sound of this book and think it would be great for kids or even adults, as long as they do not mind the slow pace

As a former shy, unpopular kid who loved stories about cryptids, I am thrilled to read this review! I loved the sample, and this review confirms my hunch I will love the whole book! It's very topical, with the current debate over "kill or document" among cryptid hunters.

I appreciate the warning about the crime, and will be looking for that and evaluating the author's positioning and intent. Thanks for letting me know!

This review did a good job of hooking me without spoiling. I'm glad to have read it.

At first, this seemed like a book I would just pass over but after reading the review I might have to give it a read. It sounds like an enjoyable storyline.

I'm a fan of cryptozoology. This would be a wicked fun adventure to go on. I like the commentary on human nature in the need to discover and taking things too far.

This is another coming-of-age fantasy adventure for a young boy with a mythical creature which inspires him, gives him a father figure, big buddy who will protect him and mentor him in facing the tough world. Fiction like this shows that boys are just as vulnerable as girls. There are just different needs to address in their upbringing.

While I don’t think this book is for me, it sounds like a fun read for the target age group. It’s cute that the story revolves around the well-known legend of big foot. What a unique idea for a coming of age story!

Great review!! I've never been big on Big Foot lore, but this book sounds like a nice, easygoing read. I think my kids would enjoy it.

Great job on the review. I loved how you told about him committing a crime and getting away with it. Good to know incase some is trying to decide if their kid should read sit or not. I think it would be a lovely book to read besides that part. I'd like to know how he is undetected all these years!

Good review!! It was a little long winded, but gave just enough detail to leave the reader wanting to read the book without spoiling too much! Except the part about the crime that went unpunished was a bit of a spoiler!
