Review of Rosie Finds Her Shine
Rosie, a reindeer, feels the need to pursue her calling of dancing. On the contrary, her parents want her to guide sleighs, as is their tradition. Rosie wants to join the North Pole Prancette and dance her heart out as she has always desired.
Rosie approaches her parents and notifies them of what she has always wanted. After much persuasion, they allow her. However, Rosie does not possess a unique red nose that’ll make her stand out. She goes to Prancette School and begins her training. However, the long rehearses are exhausting, but Rosie has to get past the exhaustion to complete the pursuit. What will she do to be outstanding?
This book has exemplary diction. For instance, children will note the word reindeer does not have a plural form. In addition, they’ll learn unfamiliar phrases like "sleighs of reindeer." Rosie knew she had to go the extra mile to stand out among the reindeer. She worked extra hard to make the line. I liked that.
Kids will learn valuable lessons. Firstly, it is okay to break protocol to follow what your heart always desires. I loved the unique writing font and colorful illustrations. They made the book look astonishingly distinctive. As a plus, this book encourages parents to support their kids in their journey to pursue their goals.
“Sometimes our gifts need a little time to prime,” says one character in the book. This quote was so thought-provoking that I wrote it in my journal. From a personal perspective, this volume possesses the needed thrust to encourage any kiddo who needs a little push to pursue their passion.
Detecting nothing to despise, I rate Rosie Finds Her Shine by Megan Rogers 4 out of 4 stars. Moreover, I noted no grammatical mistakes, so it was well edited. I recommend it to kids looking for a motivational guide to help them follow their heart’s desires.
