[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Leaf & the Tree" by Bruce Nemovitz.]
We can't survive solo in this world. At one point in life, we need someone else to help us. Even in business, we require clients to purchase our products. Similarly, a tree has roots, a stem, branches, and leaves. They all need each other for survival.
A tree stood out in the middle of the forest. All the animals respected it for its enormous size. Typical to all trees, they have leaves and branches. Unfortunately, the leaves always thought they were independent of the tree. With the help of the rain and sunlight, they flourished and were always more attractive than the other parts of the tree. They'd change color from green to more vibrant colors.
Sadly, as time went by, there was a massive drought the leaves couldn't withstand. Thus, they turned brown and withered. They fell to the ground and encountered the tree's roots. Little did the leaves know they were about to learn a valuable lesson. What did the roots tell the leaves?
I loved the vibrancy of the tree after receiving rain and sunlight. Additionally, the leaves turned from one color to the other in different seasons. One time they were green and then transformed into stunning colors. Ultimately, they become dull and unappealing. In the same way, kids can learn there's a season for everything. And that they should work and respect each other as a team.
There is a core lesson children will learn from the roots. Grab a copy to discover which one. The animals in the forest are a variety: bears, gazelles, foxes, and squirrels. All are different in size. I admired the authenticity.
I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. There was no aspect to loathe. Moreover, I encountered no grammatical errors. The work is well edited. I recommend The Leaf & the Tree by Bruce Nemovitz to children who enjoy nature and wildlife.
