This is such a fun book for children and will greatly reduce anxiety in your young ones for that first visit to the dentist. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is written in a simple and easy to read manner. All of Dr. Shah’s books are enjoyed by our young ones!

This is an awesome review. I usually have hard times reviewing children books because they are at times small and I don't know if I'll be spoiling them by telling too much.. haha. But I love reading your reviews and I think you did this one justice.

No Rushing When Brushing is an educational children's book by Dr. Humairah Shah, featuring two stories: "Sam and the Sugar Bug" and "Leila Visits the Dentist." The book, written by a children's dentist, shares his expertise on proper dental care and what children can expect during a dental visit. The book demonstrates healthy and unhealthy dental practices by contrasting the teeth-brushing habits of siblings Sam and Leila. The 25-page book is the first in the Alan and Burke Books series and is recommended for children aged five through nine.

The author's attention to detail in the stories motivates young readers to practice healthy dental hygiene. The story also provides a reassuring tone when Leila visits Dr. Jane, explaining each part of the office visit. The accompanying illustrations, which appear more mischievous than menacing, help assuage potential fears.

No Rushing When Brushing is rated 4 out of 4 stars, making it an insightful, informative, and comforting book for young children anticipating their first dental appointment or pediatric dentists starting their practice. It is also recommended for caregivers, teachers, and parents.
