Love, Grandma is an illustrated children’s book by Ann Morris. Ann is the grandmother of two lovely girls who she writes about in this book. She talks about all her memories and stories from when her granddaughters were little and they used to visit her house. She talks about the activities they used to do together and the games that they used to play. Her fond memories about their fun times weave a very cute story for children to enjoy.

The text in the book is written as a rhyme for kids. Each page is fully illustrated. The pretty illustrations communicate the context of the rhyming verse very well. It is a very well-drawn book. The illustrations are colorful, grabbing the child’s attention and keeping them interested in the story. They are uniquely drawn and the drawing style of the artist is very cute. It elevates the feel of the written content even further.

One of the great positives about this book is that it is written by a grandmother herself. Who better understands the needs of young children than someone who has spent a lot of time with them since their birth. The story is inspired by her own granddaughters’ childhoods and gives it a warm and personal feeling. It will surely be liked by all children. The font and the colors used are also appealing and friendly to children.

There are no negatives about this book. It is a sweet and short one. If I had to point something out, I would say that the placement of the text on the pages was a little random. But that too is not really a negative. It is a wonderful kid’s book overall. The language and context are easy to comprehend by kids.

I will give Love, Grandma 4 out of 4 stars. It is well-deserving of this rating. With the textured and detailed illustrations, the sweet rhyming content, and the memories told through them, this book is an ideal one. It talks about what the little girls loved to do as kids and how their grandmother always joined them in their games and shenanigans. All that she did for them was to make them feel loved and happy. It will be highly popular among the kids and will even be loved by parents.

It is suitable for children of all ages. It would be fun to scan for the adults too. I think that parents should go for this book for their kids as it is a heartwarming and interesting story. The anecdotes by Ann Morris are really fun to go through.
