I Thank God by Mabel A. Chang is a children’s book about many beautiful things in everyday life that people can be grateful for. Through the text, the author focuses on the wonder of mountains, seas, animals, and human inventions. The writer includes little words and many pictures and illustrations in the book to make the tone simpler for younger kids.

The author begins by sharing a verse about people being fearfully and wonderfully made by God, which leads her to thank God for her children. She continues by being grateful to God for sunsets, while she accompanies the text with a marvelous image of the sun setting during the afternoon in a clear landscape. She also thanks God for clouds and rain in the spring, which can be beautiful and refreshing. She continues by offering thanks for bees, which pollinate flowers and make delicious honey.

There were solely positive elements in this book. For one, no grammatical or spelling errors could be spotted in the text, showing that the book was exceptionally edited. Furthermore, the vivid and colorful images made this book friendly toward very young children, adding fun, excitement, and creativity to the text. What I liked most about the book was that it was inspiring, as the author passed on a positive message of faith, hope, and love.

This book will be mostly loved by young Christian children in kindergarten. Parents may want to read this book to their young children to teach them about the significance of gratitude and thankfulness. Christians are more suited to read this book because the author writes about God and includes a Bible verse in the text.

In summary, I give the text a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I believe this since this book was impeccably edited, vividly illustrated, and inspiringly written.
