I am Unstoppable: A Book of Self-Inspiration for Children by Charmaine Marie contains affirmations to build confidence and motivation in children. Using the word unstoppable as a guide, the author empowers young readers to recognize their worth and learn how to embody their best self.

This book is a great set of affirmations for all readers and a reminder of self-empowerment. For younger readers, this book is an excellent tool for teaching vocabulary because of the repetitive nature of the narrative layout and the broad array of words used. I like that this book breaks down the lessons into an accessible format and combines simplicity with a powerful message. I Am Unstoppable is also the first book in an upcoming series, opening the door to more learning and affirmations in the future.

I like that the photos are real children posing with each affirmation because they bring life into the book. However, the photos have a filter that makes them look like watercolor, which sometimes distorts the image. I would prefer to either see these photos with less or no filters or instead have fully animated or drawn pictures. There are also a few minor inconsistencies that made me pause while reading. They didn't affect my comprehension but stood out because of how consistent the rest of the book is. For example, every affirmation page follows the same layout except one, which used bullet points where no others do.

I am Unstoppable highlights positive and motivational phrases that help build a confident mindset. I appreciate the unique format and rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I took off one star for the few formatting inconsistencies. Overall, this book sets up the reader to learn about and develop positive affirmation habits that will serve them throughout their life.

I would recommend this book to young readers who either have a strong vocabulary or are looking to increase their vocabulary. The messages contained in this book are valuable to all readers, so any reader looking for inspiration would enjoy this read. While this book does have a bible verse as an epigraph, the book's contents are accessible to readers from any or no religion.
