I think all children fear thunder and lightening at some point in their lives, so understanding the science behind it will really help them feel more in control of their surroundings. This sounds like a lovely book that all parents should read to their children. Thank you so much for the honest and insightful review! Happy reading :techie-studyinggray:

I like that you mentioned how the author chose to take a scientific approach to describing this pair of weather phenomena. As a child, I recall being fascinated by the flash and boom of an approaching storm! I don't have children myself, so I have no idea what proportion of today's children find thunder and lightning scary, but it's good that there's an illustrated, informative book that addresses such common occurrences. Thanks for your lovely review! :cloud:

This book is quiet different from other children books I’ve read. I expected fantasy. I’m glad the author explained the science behind thunder and lightning to little children. Knowing this will make it less frightening. Thanks for the review.

The title of this book is quite funny and it piques one's interest in the book. I guess children won't be so frightened by thunder and lightings after reading this book. Nice review

This an interesting book that explains the phenomena of thunder and lightning to Children. A father who his son used to cry and frightened on seeing the approaching storm from his bedroom window. Daddy comes to hold him. Daddy explains what makes thunder and lightning. William is no longer anxious and can fall asleep. It is a good bedtime story to read, especially on a stormy night. This is a helpful book for parent to read to their children. Congratulations to the author for such great job and thanks to BOTD

I'm still scared of thunder and lightening to-date. I think this book, though it's children's book, will also help me as an adult understand the scientific idea behind storms. The knowledge might help me ease my fear of lightning and thunder. The book seems to be educational. I'm adding it to my want to read shelf. Congratulations.

This is a great bedtime story for children. When William panics on seeing an approaching storm, he cries out. The dad comes and explains to him factually about storms and thunder, and the boy is able to calm and fall asleep. A children's book should be able to achieve such effects. The language is simple and the illustrations simplify it even further. Good job to the author. Tank you BOTD.
