All About a Boy Who Was Afraid of the Dark is a children's book written by Ann Marie Hannon. This book is suggested for children ages 3 to 6. It addresses a common fear younger children often have.

Patrick is an almost two-year-old boy who learns he has a fear one night. He wakes up and everything is dark! Patrick is use to someone being there to help him when he's afraid. He has to figure out what he should do to help himself to not be so scared.

Parents will enjoy reading this story to their children. It would be an excellent book to read to children who are afraid of the dark. Children who are 5 to 7 years old probably will enjoy this book more than 3 year old children. I believe some children, especially very young ones, may have a hard time with the length of the story. They may lose interest and their attention may wonder.

I liked that this book explores a common fear of younger children. It lets them know it is okay to be afraid. I like how the author gives ideas to discuss the story with children. Talking about what the story is about may help to create useful ways to overcome fears. I also liked how it involved problem solving and siblings working together. The pictures also help to portray what is going on in the story. This is great for children who are following along, but can't read the words yet. I do believe younger children wouldn't have the attention span for the whole story. I feel the book went into too many details for being a book geared towards 3 to 6 years of age.

I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors. I believe the book is professionally edited. I found the book to be well-written. The focus of the story is a common topic for younger children. I do believe it could have been a little shorter for the youngest listeners, but I don't believe that is worth taking a star away for. Overall, this is a cute children's book. The author did an amazing job making it known it is okay to be afraid.

Verily! Its passes a lot of lesson to children's of nowadays. Fears kills morale but with self believe overcomes all difficulties. I really enjoyed the book to extreme point, I commended the writer for a well job done.

This is really a wonderful book for children. I recall loving to read books with a lot of pictures as a child. It is really helpful to children it keeps them glued. Thanks for the review.
