The link to the web is something kids will like. I hope Sammy will be as popular as Barney so more kids will hear his message. It wouldn't hurt for him to have a signature song, too.

Addressing the errors will make the story even better. Sammy, surge!

Thank you for your review. It is so important for children’s books to model proper grammar. Kids may not always hear proper grammar usage, but they should be able to see it in the books they read.

I agree. With all the bad grammar that kids see in social media and instant messaging apps, reading proper grammar in their books is of paramount importance.

Haha, I hope they are dogs! There would be many other serious implications with the lost brother if not...this book seems incredibly nice, I would definitely read it with my little cousin. Great review!

This sounds like a cute and fun story, but it is a shame about the editing. It really can detract from an otherwise great read. Thanks for this excellent review!

Thanks for the kind words, Meg98. I'm sure Coach Irby is a good sport. He will do what's necessary to improve Sammy's game.

The idea of two dogs playing soccer would be appealing to children. Soccer is gaining in popularity, but there are still so many options for sports fans. This book can help children understand and enjoy the game! Nice review. Thanks!

Fables have always been good for teaching lessons. Disney uses animals from insects to lions to score points with kids. And the fauna delivers. Nicely.

For some reason, I have a hard time believing a lot of tweens these days would be interested in this haha. It sounds like a lovely moral book though, I think younger kids would benefit the most from it. Thanks for the review!

It's been a while since I was a tween, so you may well be right! LOL! I was thinking the links to the Net would interest them, though. Sammy and Ralph are in Grade 5.
