I think it also helps when it occurs with animals in the story so we can relate to them, but it's not quite so scary. I am adding this to my list of books to read.

Suzzane did a good job of narrating eddies story. Addressing the fact of being deaf is a good lesson for the community that will enhance their awareness. I like that this book is tailored to help children understand a specific condition. It will help raise awareness for the condition and help those recently suffering from hearing loss to adjust to the change. With the fact that 32 million children suffer from hearing loss it is great that there is a book that helps everyone understand all the aspects of the problem. "Eddie the Elephant’s Magical Ear" by Suzanne Picerno is written so children and adults can empathizes with all those with hearing loss. As many children have adults in their lives with hearing loss this book could be a great read for many, many adults and children. I look forward to reading the entire book. Thank you.
