I enjoyed "The Storyteller" very much as I was fascinated by the changing relationship between Sage and Josef. I had never finished a book by Jodi Picoult before as I find her style a little tedious, but one of my friends highly recommended it so I tried it. The twists in the plot kept me interested, and I could tell that the book was well researched and thought out. I gave it 3 out of 4 stars because it was a very good read; however I found some of the descriptive passages to be a bit longwinded and boring.

I enjoyed it the written work is extremely solid and it unquestionably established a connection at the forefront of my thoughts. I think it come at a decent time for the world to think back and gain from the past that we ought not deliberately ignore to abuse, be it religious or something else. I give it a 3 out of 4 stars.

I love Jodi Picoult's writing. She's very talented and you can tell she's experienced. Her books always make me cry and they are very powerful, they can make you have to take a step back and see two different perspectives of one story.
This book is more graphic and can be disturbing, but as it should be. This book is great.

I did not review this book, but I have read it. I always find Piccoult's books to be amazing, with unexpected twists and turns. This particular book was one of my favorites, as it has a nice blend of historical fiction and fiction, with a story line that is captivating and intriguing.

When I read the book a couple years ago, I started talking about it to my professor and he was like "Jodi Picoult? No, she's not good."
But I read the book anyway and I loved it. It was my first book by this author, so maybe my professor was right and Picoult wasn't a good author in general, but The Storyteller was amazing! I gave it a five star rating on Goodreads and here I gave it 4 out of 4.
It was sad, beautiful and well-written.
I mean, what happened at the end, the guilt, the true story... it was all just wow! I had actual goosebumps!
One of the best and most painful experiences of my life! I actually cried like a madman by the end!

I've had this book on my shelf forever. I kept putting it off because of its disturbing theme. Maybe this is when I finally give it a go?

Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors, and "The Storyteller" did not disappoint. Although the topic of this book was disturbing and often hard to read, I appreciate that Jodi always addresses the truth head-on. As usual, the author also caused me to wrestle with moral dilemmas, as I wondered if I could forgive the unforgivable.

I gave "The Storyteller" 4 out of 4 stars, and have recommended it to many friends and family members. Although this is a work of fiction, I think it is important to read stories that represent the events of the Holocaust, so that we never allow this to happen again. Sometimes the truth is hard to face, but is necessary to learn about ourselves and the world.

I have to read this book with a different mindset since it is so well-researched and written that it is impossible to avoid conjuring up certain mental images. It did a good job of telling the story and handling the delicate subject, in my opinion.
