Children of Blood and Bone

Post by Chelle934 »

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi was a phenomenal read. Seeing the difference between the wealthy and the not so wealthy was represented in a great way. I also liked seeing the change in Amari throughout the book. The bond between Zel and Tzain was a very strong brother/sister bond. By the end of the book I am still a bit weary about Inan, but I guess I will have to wait until the sequel to see if my opinion changes. At the end of the book where, Tomi discusses how the brutality that some people have endured from police made me see the book in a slightly different view. There are scenes in the book that truly show that, however it is with the nobles versus the maji and the poor in the town. It is not fair and some of the scenes were sad. I definitely would recommend this book. 5/5.

I love this book so much!! I cannot wait to read the sequel although I am a bit terrified that there will be a love triangle in book two. I'm not really a fan of it.

I've seen a lot of positive reviews about Children of Blood and Bone, so I'm very keen to add it to my TBR pile.

This is an amazing book filled with romance, adventure, pain, and heartbreak just to name a few. It held my attention from start to finish and the characters are easily identifiable. The sequel is even more awesome!

There was so much hype about the book when it came out but still haven't got my hear around it. Looking forward to read it ASAP after reading the review.

I loved this book! I've read it twice since it first came out. I also read the sequel when it came out this year. Thoughts? I'm not sure it was quite on par with the first one, but I was still super into the story and I can't wait for the next one.

I have read a lot of young adult fiction. For whatever reason, I just didn't like this one. I couldn't get into it or through it (although I did). I do know there is a sequel, not sure I will be reading it.

This was one of the best books I read this year and I'm so excited to read the second one!! I loved the two girls and how they grew from completely distrusting each other to friendship.
